Natural anti allergy steps you can take to fight allergies naturally
Every year hundreds of people all over the world dread those beautiful months of spring simply due to the dreaded ---- ALLERGIES! But of course there are ways around those horrible reactions you so detest, and no, the cure need not always be in the form of chemical based medications which make you doze off in the middle of the day.
Following is a short guide to all the natural ingredients which can keep you clean of allergies all through the months of Spring
1) Increase your consumption of food materials like onion, citrus fruits, garlic etc. which contain NATURAL ANTIHISTAMINES. Antihistamines are anti-allergens and are available in pill form in most medical stores. But don't bother swallowing down such tablets, instead opt for the cheaper ingredients listed above, they will give you the same kind of cure but will also be more nutritious, healthy and will have no pesky side-effect.
2) Install AIR PURIFIERS in your home and office. These are a must for every one who suffers from any sort of allergy problem. These will take of all the pollen from the air and help you sleep well and work round the clock without being plagued by those horrible bouts of sneezing and snottiness. You can couple the purifiers up with De-humidifiers which will keep away molds too.
3) Make a routine of taking about 1-2 teaspoons of honey everyday from about a month or so before the spring season. Honey contains a certain level of pollen in itself and will thus adapt your system to the allergen early on so that when time comes your immune system is super ready to deal with the drasted pollen.
4) Use a Nasal rinse these will clear out any pollen grain that may remain stuck to your nasal passage and cause continuous trouble. A number of these are available in the market today. Many of them come with a PH balancing salt which you can easily mix with filtered or boiled water.
5) Keep your carpets, curtains, upholstery and everything else in your home which can catch and keep pollen grains onto it, absolutely clean. Make sure all of them air vacuumed thoroughly with a Hepa certified vacuum (these are built with extra care so as to ensure that pollen sucked in is not coughed out with the releasing air) once very week at least.
6) Flush out your system with warm liquids like Green Tea etc. You can also use marshmallow roots as a decongestant.
7) Try keeping yourself away from areas which might cause you to break out in an allergy. Avoid the outdoors and food items which you know or think might have an adverse effect on you. In case you do have to go outside or work in the garden, use a pollen mask to protect yourself.
8) Keep your doors and windows closed as much as possible. If you do want to keep them open fit them with Window Filters which will keep the air coming in but keep the pollen grains out.
