Atopic dermatitis, also called "eczema" in some countries, is a skin disease. The disease is one among many other dermatitis or skin diseases.

Signs of atopic dermatitis

For example, an infant having wounds in external surfaces like face or trunk has eczema. In case of young children, it is found in ankles and wrists. Wounds may be found in adults in the upper chest, neck, in the genitals of sex organs and even in the face.

According to the modern medicines, due to stress or emotional and psychological anxieties atopic dermatitis may affect more.
The dryness in the affected skin area can be really lessened by not having further contact with the elements causing atopic dermatitis allergy.
One can easily get moisturizers in local drug store or retail shops. But it is very essential to get a doctor or dermatologist’s prescription. Self-analysis of the treatment may affect the skin disease in a wider range.
Less usage of soaps is better to prevent the dryness of skin. Soaps now have mostly the chemicals that take out the natural oil produced by the skin. These natural oils have elements that help to prevent the dryness of the skin.
